Meticulously crafted with exacting detail, the Manlius Wide Range SL Humbucker delivers a vintage experience with vintage components and a few modern tweaks.  The result is maximum playability, performance, and tone.   These are a direct drop in replacement for guitars that have the oversized, vintage WRHB routes and cutouts.

• Baseplates: Nickel silver 
• Magnet: Threaded rod, Nickel Plated, Alnico 5
• Wire: Vintage correct Poly magnet wire
• Covers: Nickel, 3x3
• Bobbins: Vintage WRHB sized black nylon plastic bobbins
• Shim: Vintage out put sets - steel / Hot output sets - wood
• Conductor: Vintage braid two-conductor or 4 conductor coil splitter
• DC Resistance Vintage: 10.0k (neck); 10.5k (bridge)
• DC Resistance Hot: 14.0k (neck); 18.5k (bridge)

Tone & Design

The darling pickups of country, rock, and indie music, the Wide Range Humbucker has grown more and more popular and is a sought after vintage component for many modern instruments.  The majority of modern reproductions from the major manufacturer were not true to the original Seth Lover design - rather they were just standard humbuckers under larger covers.  While they looked the part, the tone and playability were not inline with historical standards.

These reproductions use custom original nylon bobbins, threaded magnets, nickel silver baseplates, and nickel silver covers.  Wound to your choice of outputs - Vintage or Hot - the tone is vintage based, or hot rodded up with more front of the amp push.

The AlNiCo 5 threaded magnets offer a tighter bottom and a bit more overall volume and punch compared to historical examples, while offering much better clarity than the bar magnet setup on most modern major reproductions.

All covers are pure nickel silver and plated for a smooth appearance.  These can be ordered with vintage braid or 4 way conductor.
