The Asphalt humbucker pickup set is very
explosive in terms of output, and allows for a
great variety of styles. Both neck and bridge
pickup are run with AlNiCo V magnets that give
a very full response with rich lows and mids
and a warm high end response.
The Bridge pickup has a contemporary tone
that can be cleaned up nicely using the volume
knob to cop a convincing vintage feel. With
drive and distortion can cover anything from
rock to metal to thrash with enough nuance,
dynamics, and articulation to not get lost in a
muddy mess.
The matching neck pickup balances nicely with
the bridge position and offers a woody, rich
response that retains good clarity for clean
runs and comping and won't get muchy and
